The school uses a therapeutic approach to support pupils with their individual difficulties. Everything the school does is based on positive relationships and viewing behaviour as communication.

We are seeking candidates who thrive on working in a challenging but immensely rewarding environment, who are passionate about supporting the development of social, life and independence skills and who truly want to make a difference in the lives of pupils.

“There are many things that I enjoy about working at CHS and one of the best aspects of this job is having the opportunity to build positive relationships with our students. Our focus on overcoming barriers and developing mutual trust and respect means that we really get to know the children and young people we are working with, which in turn allows us to really focus on their strengths.”
Assistant Head Teacher, Bex Smith
