Thank you for your interest in working at Coombe House School, an independent special school that provides education for pupils aged 5 to 19 with SEMH and ASD and associated difficulties. Learning Support Assistant – Complex Mental Health Needs
We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to meet the needs of a young person with behaviours that are challenging and impacting their mental health, including self-harm, distress and anxiety. You will support learning objectives and develop skills for life within the community, helping the young person build relationships and engage confidently in social situations, in school and in the community.

Learning Support Assistant – Neurodiverse and SEMH
Ideally you will have experience of working as a SEND Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant, with children who have additional complex needs. We will consider mainstream experienced Learning Support/Teaching Assistants looking to further your career within Special Education, and those who have a passion for helping children overcoming barriers to learning.

The school uses a therapeutic approach to support pupils with their individual difficulties. Everything the school does is based on positive relationships and viewing behaviour as communication.

We recruit Learning Support Assistants and Teachers on a regular basis to support the rapid growth of the School. Speculative direct applications (no agencies) in this regard are desirable.
